Gervonta Davis is an American professional boxer who was born on November 7, 1994. He has held different big showdowns in three weight classes, including the WBA (Ordinary) lightweight title starting around 2019; the 2017 IBF Super Featherweight Championship; between 2018 and 2021, the WBA (Super) super featherweight title twice; as well as the 2021 WBA (Regular) super lightweight title.
The Boxing Writers Association of America has Davis ranked as the tenth-best active boxer in the world, pound for pound, as of June 2022. In addition, BoxRec ranks him as the best active lightweight in the world, ESPN ranks him third, the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board ranks him fifth, and The Ring magazine ranks him fifth. Davis’ knockout-to-win percentage is 93%, and he is known for his incredible punching power.

Early life
Davis, who was born in Baltimore, has been working out at the Upton Boxing Center since he was five years old. Calvin Ford, who was the inspiration for Dennis “Cutty” Wise on the popular HBO television series The Wire, trains Davis.
Davis had an exceptionally fruitful beginner vocation, coming out on top for some public titles. He also won the National Golden Gloves Championship in 2012, three National Silver Gloves Championships in a row from 2006 to 2008, two gold medals at the National Junior Olympics, two championships in the National Police Athletic League, and two Ringside World Championships, among other things. Davis had a stellar amateur career that ended with a record of 206–15.
Davis is originally from West Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood, one of the city’s most violent neighborhoods. He went to Computerized Harbor Secondary School, a neighborhood magnet school, however, exited to zero in on his vocation. He later completed a GED program to earn his secondary degree.
