Tony Bennett and his wife Susan Crow (also known as Susan Benedetto) met with renowned journalist Anderson Cooper in June, just a few weeks before Tony Bennett’s 95th birthday, for a 60-minute interview.

Crow disclosed to Cooper that Tony is not aware he has Alzheimer’s disease. Thank goodness he recognizes me. His children, you know, we are very fortunate, she added. He’s a very nice guy. Alzheimer’s disease is something he is unaware of having.

I am aware that his hippocampus, the Grand Central Station of memories and the pathway by which we store and retrieve memories, is not functioning very well.
Doctor Gayatri is credited by Susan with making the following statement: If he (Tony Bennett) wants to sing, let him sing because that’s the best thing for him.
