UST, a digital transformation solutions company, has taken a giant step forward in its commitment to transforming lives through education. They’ve doubled the sponsorship budget of the Vidyadan program to include Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana,, and Maharashtra, in addition to Kerala. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between UST and Vidyadhan to double the sponsorship budget.
Vidyadhan is a charitable initiative of the Shibulal Family under the auspices of the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation founded by Kumari Shibulal and S D Shibulal. The partnership between UST and Vidyadhan has grown stronger over the years, starting in 2018 with his scholarship support to 100 Kerala engineering students. The UST has so far sponsored 306 of its students under Vidyadhan.
Of the 102 UST-supported students who graduate, 61% have found employment in a variety of companies and institutions, 10% have chosen higher education, and 15% are preparing for competitive exams. Vidyadhan’s path forward is well-planned, with more corporate sponsorships and more provinces under its jurisdiction. The one-day event will bring together Vidyadhan stakeholders and beneficiaries to share their thoughts on the prestigious program. The challenges faced by the Pan-India Vidhya Dhan Scholarship Program in the aftermath of the pandemic prompted changes in operations and the search for new initiatives from partners.
In this context, UST, a partner of the program for four years, has strengthened its commitment to the program and has decided to continue to strengthen its commitment to the program. UST Chief Operating Officer Alexander Varghese said: He has been working with Vidyadhan since 2018 to provide financial support through scholarships to engineering students in Kerala. Their number is increasing year by year. Along with that, the CSR team of UST also provides mentoring and training to selected students.
Through the Vidyadhan Scholarship, UST expands its commitment to educating deserving students from economically disadvantaged families in India.
UST has also contributed to the Vidyadhan program in non-financial ways through participation in the selection process, mentoring,, and training. One such successful initiative was the Chrysalis program. This is a soft skills employability training program offered by UST to senior students.
