It costs very little for most gold players. Stick with these guys, they’re better than their ranking says.
Gold cards are fairly easy to earn in NBA 2K23. After logging in once, gamers are hooked. Your main goal will be to replace gold cards with better ones.
I can understand that, but put that thought on hold for a moment. Not all MyTeam cards with a higher tier or OVR in NBA 2K23 are better than all Gold cards.
The cards on this list are better than most of the Emerald and Sapphire tiers above.For now, keep these cards to surprise your opponents early and stock up on true elite cards later.

Let’s get started with our list.
1. Nikola Jokic
What makes Nikola Jokic the best player in the league right now? His playmaking under the rim. The game is starting to realize that passes from the inside are just as deadly as points his guard showcases the best playmaking moves from the outside.
Julius Randle is the best playmaking he has two badges and power he can pass as a forward (or he’s a 6’8″ center if you prefer). Its hot zone shuts out midrange but ends strong and shoots threes as well.
2. M.L. Carr
A straight-up defensive small forward, M.L. Carr’s badges are all about wreaking havoc on the outside. He doesn’t have anything exciting offensively, but there are some red zones inside the arc, so he’s safe on open shots.
Fullbacks are huge because there are so many. Small forwards are usually not prepared to deal with long-range guards, but Kerr rises to the challenge.
3. Miles Turner
With a wingspan of 7 feet 4 inches and a height of 6 feet 11 inches, Myles Turner is an extraordinary center. With the exception of the Vice Grip, all Miles Turner badges are in the defensive/rebound category. And that’s exactly what gamers want from Big Man.
Use the Turner as a stop against indoor dangerous opponents. With no holes in the paint, other players will have to find another way to score points when Turner locks things inside.
4. Derrick McKey
Closing small forwards is a big challenge. Small forwards have the most variety when it comes to builds. Opponents have no way of knowing if the perimeter should stop him, Shooter, Mail him Plain, or Funkmaster.
Derrick McKey can be effective against any scorer, as he can block any build with his various defensive badges. At 6-foot-9, McKee has an almost center-like physique that rivals most of his other small forwards.
5. Rony Seikaly
Gold-level centers usually have big problems. They are small and can either disappoint in defense or be useless in attack.
If a beginner loses the game, it’s probably because the center isn’t strong enough. Rony Seikaly fixes all these problems and fixes some of them.
With the gold badge of Fearless Finisher and the excellent finishing badge of scoring goals from the posts, Seikaly is an offensive threat. Meanwhile, his 6’11” frame and post-lockdown badge keep opposing centers from attempting the same tactic.
6. Marcus Smart
The shooting guard typically serves as the team’s primary offense. Whether you hit inside, release from deep, or use a combination of both tactics, the first position to think about when it comes to defense is the shooting guard.
Marcus Smart doesn’t allow it with the best defense badges in the game (that one of hers is gold).
While he’s not the offensive powerhouse of your typical shooting guard, his ability to stop the opposing team’s biggest scoring threats shouldn’t be underestimated.
