But collectively, we must turn our backs on our dirty fossil fuel economy and centuries-old technology to restore the health of our planet, protect our species, and create opportunity for all. We must turn our attention to building a 21st-century economy that delivers.
Governments around the world have passed several important environmental policy initiatives for 2022. However, almost all countries in the world are not on track to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) neutrality by 2050.
Keeping global warming below 1 is possible
But urgent and comprehensive action is needed now, and governments alone cannot do it.
