Ezra Miller, who now is set to star in DC’s ‘The Flash,’ has pleaded not guilty to conviction on indictment in a Vermont court, where he could face up to 26 years in prison if found guilty.
Miller faces burglary into such an occupied residence and petit larceny charges, according to Variety. The actor popped up virtually in Bennington Superior Court with their lawyer.
Miller is charged with breaking into a home in Stamford, Vermont around May 1, 2022. Vermont State Police officers found several missing alcohol bottles from the property during an investigation while the property owners weren’t present.
Police charged Miller with felony burglary after gathering statements as well as reviewing surveillance footage. According to Variety, the petit larceny start charging states that stolen items were worth less than USD 900 in total.
The maximum sentence for felony burglary is 25 years in prison and a fine of USD 1,000. The maximum sentence for larceny is one year in prison and a fine of USD 1,000. Miller also agreed not to contact the house owner or return to the property.
According to Variety, “Ezra Miller in morning pled not guilty with one count of burglary one and count of petit larceny throughout Vermont Superior Court and approved the court-imposed circumstances of just not trying to contact or entering the inhabitants’ home.”

In Hawaii, the embattled actor was arrested twice: once in March for disorderly behavior and abuse after an incident at a karaoke bar, and once more in April for just an alleged assault inside which Miller has been accused of trying to strike a woman on the head at the private residence.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the family of an 18-year-old filed a protection order against Miller, alleging that the performer groomed their child from the age of 12, however, the child has denied it. Miller apologized for their previous behavior and began receiving mental health treatment in August.
