The Super Mario Bros movie wasn’t released in the year 1993 and after 7 years of its release Lord of Destruction in 2001 was released. In our childhood, we played the Super Mario Bros video game a lot.

Also, many of us had seen its movie too. Both movies feature a main character who is transported to a new world and must save the day. The similarities don’t stop there. In both movies, the main characters are accompanied by a sidekick. In the Super Mario Bros movie, it’s Luigi, and in Diablo 2, it’s Deckard Cain.

There are also similar scenes in both movies, like when Mario and Luigi first enter the alternate world and when they’re running away from the villains. It’s clear that the makers of Diablo 2 were inspired by the Super Mario Bros movie, and fans have noticed the similarities between the two. Whether you’re a fan of both movies or just one, it’s interesting to see how one has influenced the other.

As we all know now there are enough better video games and movies. However, now and then there’s a decent one that comes along. The movie follows the basic plot of the game, with Mario and Luigi being transported to an alternate universe where they have to rescue Princess Daisy from the evil King Koopa.

What’s interesting is that, upon rewatching the film recently, Diablo 2 fans noticed some similarities between it and the Lord of Destruction cinematic. For example, both feature a group of heroes journeying to another world to save someone from an evil ruler. There are also similarities in the characters themselves, such as the fact that both Mario and Mephisto are short and have mustaches.

Of course, these similarities may be just coincidences. But it’s still fun to speculate about what might have inspired Blizzard when they were making the Lord of Destruction cinematic. Who knows, maybe we’ll get a Diablo movie someday and we can see if it has any more similarities to other films!

In Super Mario Bros., this is King Koopa, while in Lord of Destruction it is Diablo. Both villains also have an army of minions at their disposal, and in both cases, these minions are defeated by the heroes.

Another similarity is that both movies feature a heroic journey to save a princess. In Super Mario Bros., Mario and Luigi must rescue Princess Toadstool from King Koopa, while in Lord of Destruction the heroes must save Princess Leah from Diablo.

Finally, both movies end with a big battle against the villain. In Super Mario Bros. This is the famous fight against King Koopa on top of a tower, while in Lord of Destruction it is the final confrontation with Diablo himself.
