The adult animated comedy “Solar Opposites” has been given a fifth season on Hulu. At a discussion panel about the show on Thursday at New York Comic Con, the news was brought to light.
The news was released just a few days after the third season’s Halloween special, A Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special, which marked the end of the show’s first successful run.
About The Show

American adult animation sitcom Solar Opposites was developed by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan for Hulu. The main characters are a family of aliens named Terry, Korvo, Jesse, and Yumyulack who crash land on Earth and are left with no other choice but to stay there. From time to time, they debate about whether or not this is a good thing. The family is from Planet Shlorp, a planet that was advanced in technologies and science that, just before it was destroyed, sent out 100 spacecraft to inhabit new worlds.

The fourth season, which is now under development and expected to premiere in 2023, has already been scripted.
According to a post-event article from The Hollywood Reporter, this week’s statement at New York Comic-Con brought to light that Solar Opposites has just been revived for a fifth season on the inventive Hulu streaming service. Since the fourth season of the program has not been aired yet, there is some unsure understanding regarding the order of events, thus the news comes as a nice surprise to some viewers.
The Disney-owned streaming service has always been known to be excelled at producing animated material. Upcoming releases include Koala Man, which Roiland executive produces, and a Futurama relaunch including the whole original cast. Miranda Otto, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Snook, and Jemaine Clement will all appear in the latter season. The complete runs of sitcoms like King of the Hill, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers are available on Hulu in addition to the original content.
Despite what the views think about Solar Opposites, some individuals find fault with the show’s aesthetic resemblance to Rick and Morty rather than finding it unremarkable as others do.
In reaction to these charges, several supporters have defended Solar Opposites. With a fifth season already secured for renewal and a fourth season fully completed, it’s feasible that Solar Opposites may be able to establish a more unique identity moving forward and completely shake off the critiques. It will be interesting to see if this can be accomplished by maintaining the show’s very comparable visual aesthetic.
The recently announced season could run after this approaching merger, according to the current realistic sequence of releases and which has been raising questions about the show’s continuity. It is assumed that fans will be most concerned about how the content’s continuous adult character may change as a result of this streaming service merger.
But it’s no problem because fans may still enjoy the program as is and can anticipate the fourth season with some hope because the fourth one has already been written, even if this is still unclear.
