Overwatch 2: Issues With A Missing Element From The Main Menu And More UX/UI Issues!

Many players might have noticed the issues with the Overwatch 2 main menu. While players grumble out about UI and some other UX flaws with Overwatch 2, it looks like the main menu is missing an essential component.

Issues And Flaws With Overwatch 2

It seems that Overwatch 2’s main menu lacks an important element which is also very important for any video game’s main menu. The serious reaction to Overwatch 2 has been largely positive, despite the fact that the overall rating is very lower than that of the first Overwatch. Since its debut, Overwatch 2 has been the subject of several complaints from gamers, ranging from technical concerns to faults with some of the game’s design choices.

A player of Overwatch 2 brought out what they saw to be an unequal distribution of menu items in the game’s user interface. The white and light blue game menu tiles have an irregularity, as seen in the image in this thread. Many gamers have stated that they cannot help but imagine this feature after spotting it, and some have expressed disbelief that it passed QA testing. It appears that the menus in Overwatch 2 have other issues in addition to the uneven tiles.

Reddit Player Brings Out The Issue

Overwatch 2 is missing a “Options” menu in the main menu which was noted by Reddit user bilawalm. The menus for Play, Heroes, Shop, and Battle Pass are prominently shown in the photograph, as can be seen.

Players can see the options that provide the features of Social, Career Profile, and Challenges underneath them. But the main list doesn’t provide any indication of a suitable options menu. A game’s options menu enables players to alter a variety of features, examples are colorblind mode, controls, and audio levels in addition to the visual settings.

Of course, a genuine options menu was included in Overwatch 2’s release, and users only need to hit the escape key to get to it. In that scenario, this post may be intended to be critical of Overwatch 2’s main menu’s general design.

Some people claim they have never clicked on the store or battle pass, while others complain that the interface concentrates too much on Overwatch 2’s commercialization. Additionally, some believe that the battle pass menu’s typeface is far too large.

Many additional players used this chance to voice their own complaints about the menus and user interface in Overwatch 2. The escape key does not exit the endorsement page even if tapping it really opens the settings menu, which is one example of several counterintuitive components that have been brought up.

Players often express dissatisfaction with how Blizzard commercialized Overwatch 2 and blame it for all of the problems they had when the game first came out.
