Kandi Burruss is popularly known as an American singer and songwriter. As later in her career she became a television persenality too and started her acting career as an actress in the shows.
As well as she is an independent businesswomen too. Behind so much successful life and fame she got her first recognition when she was a member of Xscape.
It was the first time she got attention from big people as she was a member of the girls group which was popularly known as Xscape in the year 1990. After the group disbanded in 1998, Burruss began a solo career and released her debut album Hey Kandi… in 2000.
If we talk about her birth date and born place so she was born on 17, May in the year 1976 in Georgia place. From childhood she started singing and used to sing at different olaces. She also sings at church choir too.
When she was eight years old, Burruss formed the R&B group Girl’s Tyme with three of her classmates. The group competed on the television show Star Search in 1992 and 1993, but they did not win.After Xscape disbanded in 1998, Burruss began working on her solo career.
 She attended Tri-Cities High School, where she sang in the school choir and was a member of the band. As her grajuation was completed and she joined Hampton University for music scholarship.
She left Hampton after two years to pursue a career in music.Burruss’ first big break came in 1992 when she co-wrote the song “Just Kickin’ It” for the group Xscape. The song became a hit, reaching #1 on the Billboard R&B chart. Xscape went on to release several successful albums and tour internationally before disbanding in 1998.
In 2000, Burruss began working on her solo debut album. The album, entitled Hey Kandi…, was released in 2000 and featured the singles “Don’t Think I’m Not” and “What I’m Gon’ Do to You”. The album was a moderate success, reaching #32 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Later years she started own reality show named as The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The show followed Burruss and her then-husband Todd Tucker as they navigated their way through the Atlanta social scene.
As a child, when she was 8 years old Burruss was a member of the girl group Glamour from an early age.Her father, Titus Burruss Jr., was a musician and her mother, Joyce Jones, was a hairstylist. Burruss has three siblings: brothers Patrick and Orson, and sister Tammy.
