Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Featuring Remastered Gameplay Video Out

A seven-minute gameplay video from Capcom showcasing the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection emphasizes the collection’s key features and newly enhanced visuals. For those who are unaware, Capcom announced this compilation during the summer. It will feature every game in the series, Battle Networks 1-6, and will be split into two volumes. All game versions will be available in the collections, which will be sold only online and have a 2023 release date.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection includes Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3 White, Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel, Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar, and Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar.

Although there isn’t a set release date for the game just yet, Capcom has been showcasing the collection at various events. The game not only made an appearance during the Nintendo Mini Direct when it was first revealed but also more recently at the Tokyo Game Show where Capcom revealed several new features for the collection and showcased how the games will be upgraded. More information on what to anticipate from the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection can be found in a full seven-minute gameplay video from IGN Japan.

Additionally, new features may be accessible, including a music player, an art gallery, and high-quality filters that can be switched on and off at any moment. Even while navigating through the gallery, you may listen to music via the music player.

The player is greeted by a spoken Mega Man at the beginning of the video. Players may pick the game from the collection they want to play by using the EXE in a 3D menu, which is a unique title choice screen. The first three games’ opening sequences are then briefly displayed. Players can change their control options, visit a unique collection of artwork, or listen to different tunes from the series’ history on this menu.

The video also demonstrates the many viewing options available to gamers, including filters that can be used or deactivated at any time to soften the game’s more jagged edges or give its sprites a more pixelated appearance. The Mega Man X Legacy Collection used to include a function similar to this. The size of the game screen may also be changed, allowing players to choose whether to fill it with the whole game or keep it modest with Mega Man Battle Network artwork around the edges.

Every game in the Battle Network Legacy Collection will be able to make use of several new features, including online multiplayer and chip trading. Since the earlier games had to connect using the Game Boy Advance’s link cords, this was a much-sought feature. As 2023 approaches, fans may anticipate hearing more information about this collection.
