The Leak of the Huge Tomb Raider Gets More Credibility, Know the Details

Recent actions by topographic point Raider developer Crystal Dynamics add credibility to the leaked script unconcealed throughout a podcast last Friday.
If the purpose of 2013’s topographic point Raider boot was to depict a younger, less experienced Lara farm, 2018’s Shadow of the topographic point Raider completes her evolution to a hardened adventurer.

And whereas the trilogy’s ending finished the three-game story, it deliberately left the door open for future adventures. Thus, the massive question was once and the way topographic point Raider may come back.

While it’s been some months since Crystal Dynamics confirmed that it’s engaged on a brand new topographic point Raider game in Unreal Engine five, the studio’s been tight-lipped regarding the total project. However, that didn’t stop the game’s security from being leaky online. Ironically, Crystal Dynamics’ potential plan to plug the leak could have confirmed its legitimacy.

Recently, an obvious business executive leaked the script for the future topographic point Raider game to the hosts of the PlayStation-focused Sacred Symbols Podcast. The podcast’ Patreon supporters were then treated to Associate in Nursing exclusive reading by co-hosts Chris “Ray Gun” Maldonado and Dustin Furman.

However, it appears that Crystal Dynamics wasn’t excited by this performance and served Patreon with a DMCA takedown notice. And as annoying as this could be for Sacred Symbols and its fans, this formal notice appears to substantiate the script’s legitimacy.

Sacred Symbols mentioned the case in an exceedingly “bonus episode” yesterday, August 2. per host Colin Moriarty, he’d been sitting on the script for a few time whereas he discovered the simplest thanks to use it.

Moriarty ultimately determined that a dramatic reading would be sufficiently transformative to avoid copyright claims. sadly, it seems that the topographic point Raider studio still took issue with Sacred Symbols’ reading. As a result, crystal Dynamics served Patreon with a DMCA takedown notice on an equivalent day the episode went live, forcing Patreon to get rid of it or face legal liability.

Moriarty, for his half, appears to be taking the case without becoming upset, explaining that he wasn’t angry with either company. He confirmed that the podcast would fit the DMCA takedown notice, explaining that he didn’t wish to antagonize Crystal Dynamics unnecessarily. However, Moriarty still believes that he didn’t violate any copyright laws by sharing the script within the method he did.

The leak unconcealed some unknown details regarding the consequent topographic point Raider game, which is codenamed “Project Jawbreaker.”

This includes that the new game can feature Associate in Nursing older, skillful Lara, protected by a team of fellow adventurers. The leak is conjointly unconcealed that the new topographic point Raider takes place “in a contemporary world rocked by a mysterious cataclysm,” although it’s still unknown if the new game can continue from wherever the boot trio left off.
