Engage Kiss is a story about a place, Bayron City which is a Mega float type city in the Pacific Ocean. It does not belong to any particular nation. The place has a mine for Orgonium which is why the place was noticed in the whole world right now. Also there special cases of D Hazards caused by demons occur frequently. This is known by only a few people. They are handled by Private Military Companies.
A young man named Shuu who is the main character runs one such company in Bayron City. However, his company is not very big. He is unable to manage his expenses. But he has a girlfriend named Kisara who is half demon helps him with his expenses and stays by his side. She’s even ready to do a part-time job along with school and managing and helping him in the company portraying the perfect partner one would want.
But apart from Kisara, there is another girl named Ayano that happens to be Shuu’s ex-girlfriend and also helps him by paying his bills. She even got him food and helped him find a job he wants to take. It is assumed that she is helping him because she is still in love with him.

They were successful in catching the demon but somehow it escaped. In all this Shuu also gets a hint from the demon that Demons were responsible for the death of his family. He also mentions in a conversation with Kisara that when Shuu’s family was killed, Miles was the one who saved him. In the last scene, we see Kisara asking Shuu what they should do as they don’t have anything to eat even for tomorrow.
