Anime Hundred is an adaptation of a novel written by Jun Misaki and illustrated by Nekosuke Okuma and published by S B Creation. A manga adaptation of the novel was directed by Tomoki Kobayashi. It is based on the genre of Action, Mecha, and Harem. It has an IMDb rating of 6.3. Season 1 has about 12 episodes and was out on April 5th, 2016.
Hundred Season 1 preview
Hundred is set in a sci-fi world. It has three main characters among which the male protagonist is Hayato Kisaragi and the other two female leads are Emile Crossfade and Claire Harvey. The anime is about a strange organism known as Savage who invades Earth and attacks human beings. And the only weapon that can save everybody is Hundred. This weapon needs a host to order it to work and before using a hundred one should be compatible with them.
All the three main characters are in an advanced military school to get better with their fighting skills. Kisaragi Hayato is a survivor of the Savage attack during his childhood. This is a factor that helped him to successfully enroll in a prestigious military academy. He is invited to the academy to master his knowledge and skills in fighting these Savages. Hayato has the highest score in terms of compatibility with the Hundred because of which he gets called by the illustrious Little Garden aboard a battleship.
As he enters the academy he gets challenged by Claire Harvey, the most powerful Slayer. This fight is exciting as both of them were powerful and gave each other good competition. In between the fight, Hayato gets the full body armor which shocks everybody as it was his first fight. In the end, Claire wins the fight but she accepts her defeat as she used her most powerful attack even when she said she wouldn’t.
Important information about the second season
June 20th, 2016 was the last episode that was streamed which is a long time for the viewers of this series who are expecting a second season. It is kind of sad for them.
So the reason why season 2 wasn’t put out is that the products that made this anime are IMS production, which went bankrupt and is the only reason for not releasing season 2 of this anime.
But this doesn’t mean that we should lose all hopes because season 2 is still possible if the production changes. And this can be highly possible we can expect a season 2 this year or maybe a little later only. You can also read the novel which has more information about the anime.
We can say that Hundred is an action and romance anime that has good elements that make it a better anime like the characters and plot. The animation is also pretty well. Overall it can be a fun show to watch.
