During the British Grand Prix, Sam Ryder To Shocking Perform the National Anthem, Which Is Something That No One Expected.

The British Grand Prix in Formula 1 will start with Sam Ryder.

The singer of “Space Man,” who transitioned from a TikTok celebrity to the winner of the “Eurovision Song Contest” after placing second in the contest last month, will sing the national anthem at the Silverstone event on July 3.

With a record 400,000 visitors expected for the first weekend in July, 142,000 in attendance on race day, and millions more watching across the world, the 32-year-old singer will perform “God Save The Queen” at the Formula 1 Grid Ceremony.

Sam Ryder, a British favorite for the Eurovision Song Contest, will cross something off his bucket list next month when he performs the national anthem at the British Grand Prix.

The singer has had a fast-paced journey. Alicia Keys, Elton John, and Sia were among the musicians who took notice of him when he first began posting popular song versions on TikTok amid the Covid-19 lockdowns.

He represented the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Turin after participating in drawn-out auditions.

Ryder continued to win the judges’ vote despite ultimately losing the public vote against Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra. Ryder went on to dominate the tournament.

In a statement announcing the performance, Ryder said: “The past few months have been a whirlwind and taught me that you can never dream too big! From Eurovision to being invited to play at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert!

Since I was a little child, I’ve been a tremendous fan of Formula 1. It is an honor to combine my love of music with my passion for sport at such a storied event in the British sporting calendar.

Ryder will play on the main stage in the “Formula 1 Fanzone” at Silverstone as part of the post-race concert after his appearance at the F1 Grid Ceremony. Live performances by Mabel and Alfie Templeman will also be included in the occasion.

Next year, Ryder will embark on a tour of the UK and Ireland.

Sam will also perform on the main stage at the Formula 1 Fanzone during the post-race event, which will feature Mabel, Alfie Templeman, and Formula 1 driver interviews.

Meanwhile, he recently stated that “not much has changed” since his Eurovision victory, in which he demolished the “nil pois” stereotype by winning 466 points and finishing second.

“I live well off in the countryside, so no one cares in the greatest way imaginable. It’s just normal, life is the same as it was before,” he told BANG Showbiz.

“I go surfing; I’m the worst surfer in the world; that hasn’t changed; I wish it had; I’m still just hanging out with family and friends, eating curries, watching TV, and going to the movies.”

“My work has changed dramatically, and I’m quite pleased about it, but my life hasn’t changed, and life doesn’t have to change simply because your work changes, which is a good thing to remember.”
