Lil Nas X Reveals He is Gay? Viral Video on Twitter Starts a War on his Sexuality.

Lil Nas X has found a new special someone with whom he can cuddle and watch the sunset.

He claimed that he has found love in an interview with Variety. The singer of “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” admitted, “I’ve had some nice partners and some awful boyfriends.” “A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or insecure in some way.”

According to rapper Lil Nas X, the music industry tries to “sanitize” LGBTQ+ artists’ music by telling them to “be homosexual without being gay.”

On Sunday (2 January), Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, told CBS that he wants more gay musicians to be able to speak what they want through their work without fear of being judged.

“I’ve discovered someone unique,” he adds now, adding, “I think this is the one.” I’m not sure what that is; it’s simply a feeling.”

The 23-year-old said the industry sometimes hinders LGBTQ+ talent’s freedom of expression, noting that he’s “certainly more out there” about his sexual identity than other openly gay performers.

“It’s always been, ‘Okay, if you’re gay, stuff needs to be sanitized,'” he explained. ‘Let’s leave out anything sexual.’ ‘Be gay without being gay,’ as the saying goes. We don’t want to know what goes on behind closed doors, and we don’t want you to say anything about it.'”

Lil Nas X got to stardom in 2019 with the tune “Old Town Road,” which he released two years after coming out as gay. Prior to that, he was well-known on the internet as a Nicki Minaj fan, with a Twitter stan account with over 100,000 followers. Coming out while still a rising star in the music industry was something he wanted to do for the LGBTQ+ community as a whole.

“It was a long month,” the rapper admitted. “I knew I’d lose a lot of the followers I was getting, but I also knew there would be others who would [be supportive].”

On the last day of Pride Month in 2019, Lil Nas X came out as gay.

Lil Nas X dispelled any doubts that he wouldn’t be able to match the success of “Old Town Road” with the release of his first album Montero in September of last year. Gi’s number-one track from 2019 has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify.

Helen Brown wrote in her five-star review for The Independent that Montero wasn’t a “gimmick-spinner” and that it was “bursting with technicolor emotion.”

Lil Nas X discussed coming out after “Old Town Road” and why it seemed like the “most authentic” time to go public in a recent interview.

“It’s like, I’m not doing it for the publicity,” he explained. “Right now, I’m like the number one artist in the world.”

“Having that release helped me so much creatively — I probably wouldn’t even be here right now, talking about the things I’m talking about and being that voice for so many people,” he added, with a new single “Industry Baby” already a fan-favorite. “When there’s more to it than just crafting catchy songs, you know?”

The singer of “Sun Goes Down” also talked about coming to terms with his sexuality at an early age. He said he realized he was gay when he “felt” for his “sister’s cousin” (who is not biologically related to him due to their separate fathers). “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, he’s incredibly cute,’ and I was thinking the same thing about a lot of other guys his age.”

He had his first “true” relationship when he was 18 years old, and before that, he added, “there was a man who wasn’t my boyfriend, but we met in middle school and talked after we both found out we were gay.”

“I honestly felt like it was kind of my obligation,” Lil Nas X remarked. Especially if I wished to progress. And with what I was doing, because I believe that authenticity is really real, and that people can see straight through it. And it’s a part of who I am.”

Lil Nas has kept his current boyfriend’s identity a secret, but all that matters is that he’s happy.
