Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie startled fans by introducing a new character, Kamiya, who is one of her school’s most popular characters. Kamiya is also a friend of Izumi’s, as they both worked as library assistants at the same time.
Even though Izumi claims Kamiya has no interest in other people’s lives, she became enthralled when she learned about the former’s connection. She appears to be interested in Shikimori at first, but the truth is far from what one would think.

Shikimori was upset when Kamiya obtained the same Couple Number as Izumi in the last moments of episode 7. Nekozaki interrupted Izumi and Kamiya’s conversation and asked to speak with Kamiya privately when they were discussing a movie based on a fairy tale. Shikimori was taken aback when she saw Izumi’s girlfriend when she exited the library.
Shikimori begged Kamiya to exchange the Couple Number because she wanted to take a picture with Izumi as she had at the previous Cultural Festival event. Shikimori was overjoyed when Kamiya handed her the Couple’s Number without hesitation. Shikimori, on the other hand, was surprised to discover Izumi behind Kamiya, as she had not intended to inform him of the visit’s objective.
“Innocence and Clumsiness” is the title of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie Season 1 Episode 9. Episode 8 concluded the Cultural Festival when Izumi and Shikimori were separated from one another due to their placement in different groups.
