Season 6 of Chesapeake Shores has already received some disappointing news, as we all know. It is, after all, the final episode on Hallmark Channel.
While we’re sad to see the programme come to an end, we can’t help but be appreciative. Six seasons is a long time to remain on the air for any show, especially on cable, where so many shows are starting to fade away.
While no precise launch date for the last 10 episodes has been set, all signs point to it returning in August. Filming has been ongoing for some time, and according to one of the cast members, this might be the finest one yet. Take a look at what Treat has done.
On Chesapeake Shores, there isn’t much in the way of specifics for the future, but we believe Abby’s romantic life will be resolved. In general, we anticipate a light, cheerful, and enjoyable tone – this programme, in our opinion, is best enjoyed as a piece of summer escapism, where you can transfer yourself to another world for an hour and have a nice time. We can’t picture it having anything other than a fantastic, joyful ending, given how many plotlines conclude on a high note. Also, a series finale no longer has to imply the end of the world as we know it, right? We’d want to come back here for a movie in the future, but that’s just a wish.
After being delayed by the pandemic, Hallmark Channel’s beloved family drama Chesapeake Shores finishes its long-awaited fifth season on Sunday, Oct. 17. Despite the fact that we had to say goodbye to Jesse Metcalfe’s Trace Riley at the start of the season, the popular programme still managed to give plenty of heartbreaking drama as Abby (Meghan Ory) went on without him. As Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David (Carlo Marks) got married, and Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) sought to have a family of their own, the rest of the O’Brien family had their own highs and lows.
The O’Brien family and their love and professional ties are the focus of the series, and we’re excited to see what Chesapeake Shores Season 6 has in store for us. Jesse Metcalfe, who played musician Trace Riley, Ory’s character Abby O’Brien’s on-again, off-again love interest, left the programme after the fifth season.
After Trace’s departure in Episode 2, Buckley (iZombie) secured a position as unconventional entrepreneur Evan Kincaid, whose hotel project idea with the O’Briens’ construction business led to a love/hate relationship with Abby, and we can’t wait to see him in Chesapeake Shores Season 6.
In the Season 5 finale, Abby left a note for Evan, suggesting they start dating, however it’s unclear if she was contacting Evan or her other suitor, teacher Jay.
Other highlights of the show include Kevin informing his parents about his wife Sarah’s miscarriage, Jess’ husband David learning that his trust fund has been depleted and that the FBI is looking for his father, Mick motivating his ex-wife Megan to seek employment at The Getty, Bree’s friend Luke coming clean when Connor proved he received a false positive on his drug test, and Connor kissing Margaret before collapsing from a heart attack!
With the events of Season 5 in mind, we can’t help but be excited about Season 6 of Chesapeake Shores.
