Shocked, Uli Hoeness Confirms Rb Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer Is a Bayern Munich Transfer Target.

This summer, Bayern Munich has placed a high priority on acquiring Konrad Laimer as a player. Since the beginning of the 2017–18 Bundesliga season, the Bundesliga champions have had the RB Leipzig midfielder on their transfer list; nevertheless, they have been unable to gain an advantage in negotiations.

Bayern is putting together an opening proposal that may be anything from €18 to €20 million to try to recruit him this summer. It is still unknown what Leipzig would like to be paid for the midfielder; nonetheless, it will be quite challenging for Bayern to convince Leipzig to make a transfer.

The RB Leipzig team’s success over the past few years has been significantly impacted by the international player from Austria. Because Marcel Sabitzer and Dayot Upamecano had already made the move to Bayern, it was very difficult for a third player to leave for the same club at the same time. However, Julian Nagelsmann wanted him to join Bayern last summer, but it was very difficult for a third player to leave for the same club.

The current agreement that Konrad Laimer has with RB Leipzig is set to expire in June of 2023, and the two parties have not yet reached an extension agreement. Therefore, the Red Bull club will have to sell its player in order to keep from having to give him away for free at the conclusion of the following season.

The young player, now 24 years old, began his career in youth soccer at the RB Salzburg academy before moving on to play in the Bundesliga in Germany. As a consequence of this, he has been associated with the Red Bull group since the beginning of his career. However, he would be free to leave the organization in the event that he agreed to move to Die Roten when the transfer window opened.

On Saturday, Bayern Munich tightened their grip on first place in the Bundesliga table by eking out a thrilling 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig. The game was decided by an own goal scored by RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol in the second half of the match.

The defending champions were able to withstand a valiant effort from Leipzig, which allowed them to prevail in a tense, back-and-forth duel and edge ahead by nine points at the top of the standings overnight.

The fact that Bayern has won eight of their last nine matches puts additional pressure on second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who will compete on Sunday against Bayer Leverkusen.

Thomas Mueller scored the game’s first goal for Bayern after just 12 minutes had elapsed, putting the ball in the back of the net after Peter Gulacsi had blocked an effort from Robert Lewandowski at a low angle.

At the other end, Manuel Neuer made two spectacular saves to deny Dani Olmo. However, a mistake made by Corentin Tolisso in the middle of the field gave Leipzig the opportunity to break through and tie the game just before the half-hour mark.

The first shot taken by Konrad Laimer was heading in the wrong direction until Andre Silva appeared at the far post to tuck the ball in for his sixth goal in seven matches.

After that, the goal that Mueller scored was overturned by the video assistant referee, and then Lewandowski scored again to regain the lead just before halftime.

Kingsley Coman’s arcing pass into the penalty area was met by Robert Lewandowski’s ferocious header, which Gulacsi was unable to prevent. Tolisso’s brilliant through ball had Leipzig in disarray.

Lewandowski came close to scoring at one end of the field during the second half of the game, but Bayern were caught off guard by another ruthless attack from Leipzig. The game continued to be exciting throughout the second half.

Once again, Laimer was the one to provide the assist. This time, he provided Christopher Nkunku with a devastating pass through the middle, and Nkunku finished it off by putting it past Neuer.

However, just five minutes later, Bayern regained the lead as Gvardiol put the ball into his own net after deflecting a cross from Serge Gnabry.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Emil Forsberg both had opportunities to salvage a point for Leipzig in the dying moments of the match, but Neuer was able to thwart each of their attempts.

At Arminia Bielefeld, crisis-stricken Borussia Moenchengladbach were held to a 1-1 draw, while high-flying minnows Freiburg and Union Berlin both slumped to unexpected defeats in the race for the Champions League. Other results were as follows:

After Janni Serra smashed the ball into the top corner to give Bielefeld an early lead, it appeared as though Gladbach’s winless streak would continue, but Alassane Plea saved their blushes with a header in the second half. Gladbach has only one win in their last nine competitive games.

Up to the very end, we were putting a lot of effort into winning. According to our coach, Adi Huetter, “even though our self-confidence isn’t quite where it needs to be yet, we were playing at a good level.”

With a thrilling 3-2 victory over a team that was fighting for its playoff life, Eintracht Frankfurt moved closer to qualifying for the Europa League.

Evan Ndicka scored the first goal of the game for Frankfurt with a flick of the ball in during a corner. Stuttgart responded with a goal just before halftime, with Waldemar Anton scoring the goal by getting on the end of a swinging free kick to score his team’s first goal in six league games.

Ajdin Hrustic came on at halftime and scored a thunderous volley just a few minutes later to give his team the lead. He then scored again late in the game to put the game out of reach for Stuttgart after Sasa Kalajdzic had tied the game with a header for Stuttgart.

As a result of fellow strugglers Augsburg picking up an unexpected 2-0 home win over fourth-placed Union Berlin, Stuttgart are now three points away from safety. Augsburg’s victory came at the expense of fourth-placed Union Berlin.

After an early miscue by Union goalkeeper Andreas Luthe that allowed Michael Gregoritsch to score the game’s first goal, Andre Hahn hammered in a fantastic long-range attempt at the hour mark to put the game out of reach for the Union.

Despite the loss, Union are still in fourth place because their competitors around them also suffered point losses.

A goal scored in stoppage time by South Korean international Lee Jae-sung and a goal scored from the penalty spot by Moussa Niakhate helped Mainz upset Hoffenheim 2-0 away from home.

The fifth-placed Freiburg club, meantime, was knocked out of the playoff race by Cologne on the road by a goal scored by French striker Anthony Modeste early in the first half.
