Cox confirmed this in the podcast Just for Variety with Marc Malkin while promoting his new horror comedy series Shining Vale. Malkin asked Cox when he would start recording the next song, and he said, “I got the text yesterday. And I haven’t read it yet. I just found, and I’m very familiar with, you know, Shining Vale texts, 26 pages, and I say, ‘Whoah, I have to read the text.’ it. Cox then suggested that the film start filming in June in Canada in line with a previously reported date for the summer shooting.

There are no details of the plot at this time, although Cox jokes about who the killer is. Like all Scream productions, privacy is the name of the game here. We probably won’t know much about the plot until the first film trailer goes down the line, in much the same way as the final film marketing was done.
