2022, the internationally Co-produced film “You won’t be alone” is a tender folk horror film. It is more of a bloody movie than scary at times it is sexy as well. the movie is written and directed by Goran Stolevski.
The star cast of the film has Noomi Rapace as Boslika, Anamaria Marinca as Maria, Alice Englert as Bilinca, Corloto Cotta as Boris, Felix Maritaud as Jovan, and Sara Klimoska as Nevera.

The film was set to be released in theaters on 1st April 2022. The film premiered in the 2022 Sunday’s Film Festival on 22nd January 2022 in world cinema dramatic competition section. The running time of the movie is 108 minutes and it is in Macedonian language. The movie is produced by Kristina Clayton and Sam Jennings.
Talking about the movie in detail, it plays mostly like a silent movie where characters are expressing the emotions as they move through a ruler landscape. there is also a beautiful piano score to create a mood that is precious but at the same time, it is dangerous as well.
The sun-dabbed farmland is beautiful but it is but it also has dangers in every corner and turns. The film is set in a Macedonian mountain village in around 19th. A mother confronts a horrible situation. Old maid Maria is a wolf-eateries.
Her skin looks like her ways and arteries are outside her skin rather than under her skin. She is a bloodthirst of newborn, named Novena agrees to take her away when the girl attains an age of 16.
Novena Is sent to leave in a cave for protection and emerges as a teen. Later she follows Maria to the outside world. But,Soon enough she becomes a disappointment for Maria as she starts to rebel because she wants to break the prophecy. It is soon revealed that these witches can shapeshift into other humans as well as animals.
While the story continues, StolevskiDoes has a very interesting point because there are scenes in the film that discuss gender roles, how women are out to behave in a certain way around a man, and also motherhood.
Nevena comes to know about various aspects of human life When she shapeshifts. For example she learns about her power of seducing a man and make him want sex and then she can transform them. Again when she becomes Boris,she enjoys being a man.
The film also plays up the convention of marriage as old Maria is concerned about finding a husband. The film also raises questions about patriarchy and male-dominated society but doesn’t conclude them letting viewers draw their own conclusion.
