Windows 11 KB5011563 released with a new feature, desktop watermark

Outside of the company’s beta channels, Windows 11 KB5011563 is now being rolled out to users.

There are a few new features and minor enhancements in this edition. You can either use Windows Update to try the new optional fix or download the KB5011563 offline installers.

The KB5011563 update for Windows 11 is an optional update that will not install unless you actively click the “Get updates” button. The optional update can be skipped, and we don’t have to install it unless we need those modest enhancements and bug fixes, as we already know. With Patch Tuesday in April 2022, an identical set of changes will be implemented.

Unlike the previous month’s update, the March 2022 optional update does not provide many new features, but it does include a few quality enhancements. For example, the Windows 11 notification center can now show up to three high-priority toast notifications at the same time.

The optional updates can be downloaded and installed straight from the Windows Update Settings page, as previously stated. Simultaneously, an offline installer (.msu package) can be downloaded from Microsoft Update Catalog and used to complete the update instead of relying on the built-in process.

If you can’t install updates using Windows Update, Update Catalog comes in handy. You can get the offline package from Microsoft’s website in this scenario. To begin the download, go to the above link, click the ‘Download’ button, copy the. msu link, and paste it into a new tab.

Windows 11 KB5011563 (Build 22000.593) improvements

  • Up to three high-priority toast alerts can be displayed at the same time.
  • When you rename a OneDrive file and press the Enter key, the file could lose focus.
  • SystemSettings.exe and Searchindexer.exe have been corrected by Microsoft.

Microsoft is changing the default behavior of the notification center, as previously stated. Windows 11 will now display three high-priority toast alerts at the same time after the update. This applies to similar notifications, such as calls, reminders, or alarms (priority).

As a result, you’re likely to see up to four toast notifications, with three high-priority messages and one normal priority one.

Microsoft has also repaired other problems in the OS in addition to this new capability. For example, a flaw that caused Windows to wrongly disable starting app support for programs built with the Universal Windows Platform has been repaired (UWP).

Another severe flaw has been patched, which caused SystemSettings.exe to cease working and searchindexer.exe to stop retrieving recent emails in Outlook’s offline search.

Microsoft also claims to have fixed a potential performance issue where the network stops responding when a 5G WWAN device is delayed to wake up due to a UI thread in a networking API.
