The period between 2019-2022 and up ahead has been a “blessing in disguise” for Marvel fans after Avengers: endgame with already released and upcoming movie releases like Loki, black widow, and most recent Spider-Man: no way home, Marvel is all set for its new release Moonlight knight starring Oscar Issac, Ethan Hawk, May Calamawy.

The genre of the movie is considered to be action, adventure, superhero, and (drum rolls in the background) “PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR”, which is quite obviously a new change coming from Marvel cinematic universe which is also new for “True-believers”(if you don’t know what that is we got you.
Its the name given my Mr.Stan Lee himself to his comic fans). This is also the 6th television series for MC universe. This is also a part of Marvel’s “phase-4”. Moonlight will be premiered on March 30, 2022, on Disney+ Hotstar and will be telecasted for 6 episodes till May 4, 2022.
The movie revolves around the storyline of Steven Grant who is a regular gift-shop employee. But the events in his life take a turn when he becomes plagued with blackouts and starts to have memories from the past or another life.
He later discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and he shares his body with some Mare Spectro, who is a Mercury. So. Steven and Mare must navigate their complex identities as their enemies attack them while they get thrust into a deadly mystery among the power gods of Egypt.
This can be considered as a change for MCU and True Believers because it has got a mature theme and content to it like a scene in which a man is being brutally beaten, which is not generally seen in MCU movies like Ant-man or Guardian of the Galaxy.
This also is a change because Marvel cinematic universe has quite got its extensive mythology since its first release in the year 2008 but this time it also has a showcase of Egyptian mythology which was never seen before in Marvel movies or series either.
The biggest change which was earlier talked about in the article was the use of psychological horror when Steve starts to have his disorders and horror was not something that Marvel cinematic universe has experimented with earlier.
Even the plot summary sounds kick-ass..so isn’t it obvious for us True-believers, fans to be full of excitement, curiosity, and thrill for the upcoming release. But still, fingers are crossed for this change to be more of a new, entertaining and refreshing change and get the same or even entertainment and thrill we get from other Marvel movies and their makers.
