The demand for cross-platform games is growing all the time, so it’s normal for players to wonder if their favorite new game will be accessible on both PC and consoles. The good news is that more developers than ever before are releasing their products on platforms other than the one for which they were originally designed.
Cross-platform gaming refers to the notion of a game that is available on numerous platforms and can be played on all of them. But the issue is, “Can we play Gang Beasts on all of these platforms in 2021?” In this blog article, we’ll look at the answer to this issue as well as the platforms on which Gang Beasts is cross-platform.
Is Gang Beasts Cross-Platform?
Gang Beasts is a ludicrous game that has been around since virtually the beginning of time in terms of gaming. It was first launched in 2014 for PC before making its way to the PS4 on December 12th, 2017, and the Xbox One on March 27th, 2019.
Double Fine Productions created and distributed Gang Beasts, a multiplayer beat ’em up party game. The goal of the game is to employ your character’s combat skills on other players to cause them to faint or become disabled, with their score decreasing as they do so.
Would Upcoming Versions of Gang Beasts will be cross-platform?
Gang Beasts is currently not cross-platform. The creator of Gang Beasts indicated that the cross-platform capability would be implemented in the upcoming version. But, there’s one more thing: Gang Beast will not bring cross-platform support across all platforms. For example, PS4 users will be unable to compete with Xbox One or any other platform.
Xbox One gamers, on the other hand, will be able to compete against PC players and vice versa. However, this requires time and, more crucially, money! Why would a studio commit more work on a game that has already been completed? Isn’t it just going to cost them more?
Aside from that, console developers don’t help matters; it was recently reported that these console firms impose licensing fees for cross-platforming on their platforms. This comes at an additional expense to the cross-platform capabilities. It’s simply not a viable option for the gaming company!
