Elden Ring: George R.R. Martin Seemingly Hid His Initials In Plain Sight

The author of Game of Thrones, George RR Martin, appears to have buried his initials in the realm of Elden Ring through several of his characters.

Queen Marica, one of the Elden Ring goddesses, is introduced in the game’s opening sequence, and players will ultimately encounter her family and progeny.
Godfrey, Rennala, Radagon, and Marika are the key four.  Unlike George Raymond Richard Martin, their initials are combined as GRRM.

Godfrey, Godwyn, Godrick, Rennala, Radagon, Radahn, Rykard, Ranni, Renna, Marika, Morgoth, Mogh, Melania, Miquela, and Maliketh are all Elden Ring different gods whose names begin with all these three letters.

What is Elden Ring all about?

Elden Ring is a third-person shooter in which players may freely traverse the game’s dynamic open environment. Combat, which includes a variety of weapons and magic spells, horseback riding, and crafting are all part of the game.

The development of the game began in early 2017. Elden Ring earned virtually universal acclaim from critics, who praised the game’s wide setting and playability.

Elden Ring is a FromSoftware-developed action role-playing game released by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Hidetaka Miyazaki directed the game, which was created in partnership with fantasy author George R. R. Martin, who provided the scenario for the game. On February 25, 2022, it was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

About the initials:

All the demigods in the game are after RR Martin’s name’s initials. Miyazaki also put certain limitations on Martin’s contributions since “narrative should always support the participant experience,” but overall, he characterized working with Martin as “like conversing with an old good buddy.”

When the sport debuted on February 25, it quickly became one of the best-reviewed video games in modern history, and Martin expressed his pride in how the sport turned out.

Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware, has dominated sales in the United States and is the best-selling game of 2022 thus far. Since its release in 2018, it has been the UK’s largest non-FIFA or Name of Obligation release, and it has grown in popularity on Steam, becoming the sixth most played game.

Confirmation from George RR Martin:

Elden Ring has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon, with bizarre commercials, a streamer’s Twitch conversation playing while he swept, and someone using the Nintendo Switch’s Ring Match Controller to defeat a boss, and it even has its own sweet.

“Elden Ring is a big extension on what FromSoftware started with the Souls series, bringing its brutally demanding battle to a fantastic open environment that provides us the liberty to choose our route,” IGN said in its 10/10 review.
