The post-apocalyptic open world of Dying Light is back and better than ever with new features, tweaks to make your experience even more enjoyable! Techland revealed some info on what they’re working on following last month’s release which will hopefully keep us entertained until launch later this year.
The lead designer of Dying Light 2 revealed new information during an interview with Game Informer. He stated that there will be post-launch content for over seven more years and at least five decades worth, which was promised in the first place by Techland when they released this sequel after its predecessor had ended up on consoles last year without any additional support or updated since 2013’s Nightmare Mode addition via free patches until 2019 where players can purchase individual PP consumables from within game shops if desired but not necessary given how many hours are already available through the endgame
The community has requested features such as a photo mode and a new game plus, which are being worked on by the team at Techland. “I don’t want to go into too many specifics here… but very soon people will start seeing those things added in one form or another,” said Smektała.”
Techland has provided a high-level roadmap for the first year of Dying Light 2 content, but they don’t want their game to become predictable or repetitive. “We won’t be able to keep players guessing,” said Smektała with regards to what kind of risks could come in each update post “This is something that might happen”
“It certainly seems like people have pretty much guessed at what the first story downloadable content will be, but I can assure you that they are not close to being correct.”
This raises the prospect that Saiteking’s story will continue after their ending in either chronicled or side content, with more new missions and side stories to explore.
“This is a really cool idea! I can’t wait to see what happens with this newest addition of events at the end of every game. Will they add more narrative? What are you planning on doing exactly?”
