It is hard to believe that the last year has almost come and gone. Some of gaming’s most anticipated titles were released in 2017, such as Fire Emblem Heroes with its release date being one major event after another within a certain time period by Nintendo so they could get their hopes up for this new franchise again following mediocre performance previously on handheld systems like 3DSXL or PlayStation Vita due largely because there weren’t enough development resources put towards making these games profitable despite receiving favorable reviews from critics who loved what was offered but didn’t buy them resulting in Fire Emblem Echoes, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE receiving low sales in the west to which Nintendo’s now trying to revive that franchise with Fire Emblem Warriors for everyone to enjoy.
Fire Emblem Heroes has been a huge hit since it launched. The game was well-received by fans who were eager to get their favorite characters and collect those that have yet unknowns existence in North America (game localization). In just five years, this mobile title made $959 million dollars!
The fans have been loving the game, but they’ve also spent money so that their favorite characters could be added to Fire Emblem: Three Houses. And it’s paying off; according to Game Industry Biz, in just five years there are now over 959 million dollars made by this title alone!
The closest to that in regards to true Nintendo-made mobile titles ( Pokemon Go and Dragalia Lost don’t apply here) is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp at $267 million. That’s quite a gap, but with the game currently on its newest story chapter, things are only going to grow for it further!
