Due to geomagnetic storm SpaceX has loose 40 Starlink satellites

When a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carried Starlink internet satellites beyond the atmosphere on February 3rd, not all of them will reach their intended orbit. The geomagnetic storm that took place one day later had severe impacts and up to 40 out of 50 were lost in Earth’s upper layer due or having already re-entered its surface by solar winds’ influence alone; US Geological Survey describes these periods as rapid variations within our magnetic field typically caused when large surges are coming from space like during explosions over oceans where you can see strong waves crashing onto beaches nearby – but this example would be devastating if it happened near your house!

These storms can be very damaging to electronics and satellites in orbit. In this particular case, it warmed up the atmosphere which caused atmospheric drag-or friction acting against their movement -to increase by as much as 50%. SpaceX explained that one of its Starlink team’s objectives during these launches was to save newly deployed satellites by putting them into safe mode; adjustings theirs, so they would fly edge on like sheets of paper, minimizing detrimental effects from such high levels.

Unfortunately increased Drag prevented any chance at breaking free until eventually, even those precautions failed due mainly because there wasn’t enough energy left over after all requirements hadThe SpaceX satellite that is about to be deorbited will not cause any collision risks and poses no environmental hazard. The company said it plans on completely burning up in Earth’s atmosphere, which means there should also be very little orbital debris left behind from this event. “This unique situation demonstrates how far they’ve gone when designing Starlink—the system always looks out towards future innovations,” according to an announcement post by the team

SpaceX launched over 2,000 Starlink satellites as of January this year for its first-gen constellation. Launches with these small spacecraft have become routine to the company and they’ll continue apace if it is approved by various governments around Earth needed permits to form another satellite communications network capable of global internet coverage!

Urban light pollution is a bigger threat to astronomy than mega-constellations. The International Astronomical Union has just formed the Center for Protection of Dark and Quiet Sky from Satellite Constellation Interference, which will monitor both satellite television broadcasts as well large ground-based constellations like Starlink’s proposed network of space stations or antennas that beam internet access into homes across the globe

To make observing the rest of our universe easier, SpaceX is developing software and technical solutions for observatories to implement. The company added “sunshades” on their Starlink satellites in 2020 that made them look fainter but still visible through telescopes if needed.
