Epic Games Store Will Continue to Give Out Free Games In 2022

Epic Games has confirmed in a new blog post that the weekly free games promotion on the Epic Games Store would continue until the remainder of 2022.

Epic Games will keep releasing new free games every week on the Epic Games Store until the year 2022. While Daemon X Machina is complimentary this month, there’s still more information regarding free weekly titles in 2022 to come from the Epic Games Store in the coming weeks.

Epic Games recently released a retrospective article in which it looked back on the year 2021 and discussed its goals for the following year, 2022. It goes on to discuss Epic Games’ revenues and overall development over the past year and into the year 2022. The retrospective includes information on the Epic Games Store’s weekly free games as well as other new and improved features.

A new blog post from Epic Games guarantees the Epic Games Store’s weekly free games will run through the end of 2022. Last year’s partnership between Epic Titles and a variety of video game creators and publishers allowed for the weekly free titles on the Epic Games Store. As a result, it was able to give out 89 games for free.

Along with the continuation of the weekly free games, the article gives information on the additions and improvements that will be made to the Epic Games Store in 2022 as well. Players will be able to view all of their accomplishments in one location and keep track of how much time they’ve spent playing throughout their entire library thanks to the Epic Achievements feature, which will be available in the Epic Game Store starting in 2022.

Player Comments on Library & Download management will be addressed by Epic Titles in 2022, including items like the ability to “prioritize and queue chosen games for downloading” and additional choices for filtering and organizing a library.

There will be a slew of new features coming to the Epic Games Store, namely tools for the gaming community, an international expansion of the Epic Wallet, as well as other goodies.

Additionally, the site includes a list of some expected video games that will be available on the Epic Games Store in 2022. We have Saints Row, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction. The rest on the list includes the upcoming Forspoken, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Sifu, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, and Rumbleverse. Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin will also be arriving at the Epic Games Store later this year as well.

There are now over 194 million active Epic customers, an increase of 34 million since 2012. While Steam’s year-end stats haven’t been revealed by Valve, analyzing peak concurrent user counts shows that Epic still has a long way to go.

During the past 48 hours, Valve’s Steam stats website has recorded a record high of approximately 27 million users, according to Epic Games, which claimed a top of 13.2 million active players.
