Red Notice, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot has premiered on the streaming Giant as of Nov. 12 and is already causing a stir among moviegoers and critics alike!
“The Bishop” is the world’s most sought art thief, and FBI analyst John Hartley (Johnson) must partner up with antique thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) if he is to apprehend her. All of this is just the start of what unfolded as an action-packed adventure.
Is a Red Notice Sequel Happening?
Netflix has yet to make an official announcement regarding the upcoming sequel to Red Notice. Based on the number of views the film earns, the streamer will decide whether or not to plan a sequel. Despite the film’s mixed reception, it’s certain to be a hit because the three main actors are some of the most well-known names in Hollywood.
Director Rawson Marshall Thurber was asked by Googler if there would be a sequel to the film and said yes. The director said that the prospects of a sequel would rely on Ted Sarandos, Scott Stuber, and Reed Hastings, the CEOs of the streaming company.
Aside from the fact that he’s currently “unemployed,” the filmmaker added, “let’s see what happens.” Gal Gadot has indicated in a chat with Today that she wants a sequel, and she’s not the only one. She said she’d love to work with ‘these gentlemen’ again, and that she’s looking forward to it.
I’m not working on the script for a sequel…I’ve certainly been noodling with what I would do for a follow-up and not to telltale out of school but yeah Netflix…we’ve been having those conversations.
Even if a sequel is granted, it will take time to write the script and coordinate the schedules of the actors involved, each of whom has a busy year ahead of them.
Red Notice Ending Explained
While the initial notion was that James Hartley needs to clear the stain out of his name by employing the help of his unusual companion, but as the film goes we learn that he’s a criminal who has been fooling Booth since the beginning.
Hartley and The Bishop, who had been working together to win Booth’s confidence, are also accomplices in the con. The Bishop had been collaborating with Hartley to acquire Booth’s faith so that he might guide them to the final egg.
Despite working together to escape prosecution from Interpool agents, Hartley and Bishop win the big one on Booth towards the end, revealing their secret and allowing him to take the blame while they make their escape.
As soon as Hartley and Bishop make their departure, they deliver the eggs to their buyer, who will provide the check for $300 million as payment, before tipping off Interpol. It appears that the money has been stolen from the couple, but Booth turns up on the couple’s yacht with some plans of his own.
By notifying Authorities off about their offshore bank account in retaliation for his former colleagues, Booth managed to evade arrest as well. With Interpol just a few seconds away from detaining them, Booth provides a substitute to being seized: accompany him for an even larger three-person robbery.
Ultimately, Hartley and Bishop accept Booth’s invitation to join him in the robbery, but we don’t learn any more about it in the film’s closing shot, which shows the three walking away from The Louvre in Paris.
