Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was the skater game available for the 90s and early 2000s kids. The game offered realistic physics unparalleled graphics and beautiful street experience. All of that is now coming to current generation platforms and of course PC. With a fresh new layer of 2020, the game has to offer the classic skating experience topped with current-generation graphics and not to mention that the original creative studios have come together to bring this masterpiece.
Now unlike many remasters, this one is a complete and total remaster. Not only does the game feature all the iconic Pro Skaters but has the exact same levels and maps for players to relive the nostalgia. From Andrew Reynolds to our trusty Tony Hawk and everyone in between the game is everything fans expected except nobody expected anything. The reveal was a surprise and a surprise nobody could say no to.
Moreover, the new game features adjustments to animations and brings in brand new tricks fit for the modern generation and all of this in beautiful 60 fps on consoles? What’s not to like here. The original maps from the original Tony Hawk 1 and 2 are back but if making your own park is more your cup of tea then Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park have got your back.
With modern customization technologies fine-tuning your gaming experience has never been simpler or this good. Furthermore, local multiplayer co-op and online multiplayer has made its way into the remastered games and would allow for a more entertaining experience for all your grinds. Oh, and did I mention that all the classic soundtracks are making a comeback? It is more than clear that the devs have played to nostalgia factor to perfection and for decades-old franchise fans couldn’t be happier.
The standard versions of the game are set to release for $39.99 in the U.S while the Deluxe Edition with additional content and gear is to retail for $49.99. Digital pre-orders are yet to make their way on the respective stores while the game itself is set to release this September 4th on PS4, Xbox One & PC.
