Huawei Nova 4 Leaks In An Online Listing – $569 For A Kirin 980 & 48MP Triple-Camera Setup

The Huawei Nova 4 is coming soon and it seems like some major details have just spilled online as an e-tailer just listed the device.

Similar to the Huawei Honor V20 leak, it seems like Huawei’s all aboard on the punch-hole design that Samsung introduced a while ago. Based on the retailer’s listing, the Huawei Nova 4 would come with Huawei’s in-house Kirin 980 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In addition to that, the Huawei Nova 4 comes with a triple camera setup at its rear, that is a 16MP, 5MP, and a 2MP sensor. Meanwhile, on the front, you get a 24MP sensor for the selfie lovers.

However, since its a listing, the features and details are more comprehensive than your average leak here.

Adding to all the buzz, the Huawei Nova 4 would come in two variants by giving you the option to choose between 6GB or 8GB of RAM with the base variant of the device packing 64GB of internal storage and the latter of the two packing 128GB of internal storage.

Regarding the new display and battery, we’re looking at a new 6.4-inch FHD+ punch-hole embedded display and a 3340mAh battery.

However, other leaks suggest otherwise such as the leak that came in for a user on Weibo that suggests that the Nova 4 would come with a 48MP + 16MP + 2MP rear camera setup at its rear, a 25MP selfie camera sensor, and a 3750mAh battery compared to what the retailer has suggested so far.

Externally, the phone follows the design language of the Huawei P20 Pro launched earlier this year. However, thanks to the new Kirin 980 SoC, the Huawei Nova 4 would be faster than the Huawei P20 Pro that launched earlier this year.

It certainly seems like Huawei wants to prepare the Kirin 990 before the release of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. There’s a ton of stuff to expect from the Huawei P30 here and we’d bet that Huawei would want to at least differentiate the P30 and P30 Pro with the help of a new SoC and 5G capabilities.

For a price of $569, the Huawei Nova 4 seems to be priced over its league to the point where Huawei would be conflicting with themselves. For $569, there are quite a few phones that the Huawei Nova 4 would need to compete with such as the likes of the OnePlus 6, the new Samsung Galaxy A8S and even the unannounced Huawei Honor V20. Based on the leaks, both, the Honor V20 and Nova 4 seem to be identical apart from a few minor changes.

Whether the leaks would be true is yet to be seen but based on previous leaks that came out of the retailer, we’re pretty certain that the listing is fairly accurate.
