Samsung has definitely been taking the gaming market much more seriously in the past few years. Samsung has went from being a TV manufacturer to a major contender in the PC gaming market.
They’re latest addition into their suite of monitors in the new Samsung CJG5 monitor. There’s two monitor sizes that bear the model name. First, the C27JG5 and the C32JG5. As their name emphasizes, the only difference between the two models is simply the panel size. One packs a 27 inch panel and the other packs a 32-inch panel.
General gaming-oriented specs for these monitors include a 144Hz refresh rate, an 1800R curvature, a 4ms GTG response time as well as a 300cd/m2 brightness rating.
It seems like the display lacks HDR capabilities and that the pricing for such a display seems to be a mystery for now as Samsung has simply just unveiled it for now. Samsung says that the display would be competing with other models from other brands with a competitive price bracket which ultimately suggests that it would be around the price that you would expect from the market.
Regarding when it would be available to the public for retail, Samsung has been pretty vague about that too. Although, don’t expect Samsung to launch display far into the future, it should be around the corner pretty much since Samsung says that it would be available in the Q3 2018, which is basically this month.
