The picture leaked for the new anticipated Oppo R17 shows another notched design. Since the release of the new Oppo Find X, tech enthusiasts were hoping to see more of the bezel less display by Oppo but this time they have gone yet again for a notched approach. The notch however is very minute compared to other smartphone devices of 2018 like the iPhone X , Huawei Honor 10 etc.
Looking at the design we see that there will be no front facing selfie flash for the device and the probability of dual front facing speakers is low. The most important aspect of the device will be it’s price point. Oppo have been a strong competitor in the budget smartphone department competing with companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, One Plus and more.
By the looks of it, we only see the front camera inside the notch which means that the proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and all the other technology is nowhere to be seen. This could mean that Oppo have found a way past those compulsory features and have adopted an equally good alternative.
With brands pushing the limits of technology farther and farther, it will be interesting how Oppo chooses to approach the general public with the new R17.
