Asus To Release Android 8.0 Oreo Update Via FOTA Later In March 2018

Asus may not be the fastest company when it comes to updates, but the company has committed itself well by releasing regular timely updates for their devices.

Recently, Asus has confirmed to us in a press release that three Zenfone 3 series devices would be getting the Oreo treatment. These three devices are the Zenfone 3 Zoom, Deluxe and Laser. Users who own these devices should be alarmed of this update and should expect the update to reach their devices later this month. To avoid confusion, make sure you have either one of these three model numbers.

  • Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL)
  • Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL)
  • Zenfone 3 Zoom  (ZE553KL)

Call it wait or hate, I really appreciate how well Asus has been managing their updates even though Android P has started showing up at various places. What I am curious of is how many generations would Asus update once Android P starts rolling out especially with their new Zenfone 5-series of devices hitting the market.
