Cuphead has performed abnormally well. Despite all the years the title was delayed by its studio, the studio has managed to captivate every type of gamer thanks to its unique take on modern games.
Taking the 1930s art style throughout the game, the title further enhanced the title by introducing challenging environments, missions and bosses throughout the title. With the title performing phenomenally well throughout all platforms, it was time for the Canadian PM to chime in with his support for the Canadian based game studio, Studio MDHR.
In a tweet, after the Game Awards, Justin Trudeau praised the Canadian based studio. He said:
“Big night for the Canadians behind @StudioMDHR at @thegameawards last night – congratulations on taking home Best Debut Indie Game and Best Art Direction for Cuphead!” – Justin Trudeau
While there’s no words from Studio MDHR regarding if they would be working on future Cuphead titles, these words from Justin Trudeau should give them a sense of achievement and even possibly start planning on a successor.
Cuphead made its first debut in 2014 and was finally released on the 29th of September, 2017 on the Xbox One and PC.
