Oppo has been booming in Asia with their current lineup of smartphones. Despite the brand making its best efforts to be broadly acceptable to broader audiences, here in Asia, Oppo’s offline marketing presence is allowing to make Oppo one of the leading smartphone sellers in China as well as other regions in Asia.
The Oppo R11S specifications just made their way onto Antutu’s database that reveal a subtle-looking device on the inside. AnTuTu’s report confirms that the R11S is supposed to pack a Snapdragon 660, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and an 18:9 display to keep up with 2017’s biggest trends. On the rear, users would find a dual-camera setup in a 20MP-20MP configuration that may use the monochrome + RGB capturing technique that Huawei has been doing for quite a while now. Antutu suspects that the R11S would pack a 6″-inch display. However, we couldn’t be so sure about it yet. The 18:9 display pixel count comes down to a 2160 x 1080 display, which would most probably be a bezel-less phone in slang terms.
Regarding the OS, Oppo seems to be refraining from Android 8.0 Oreo at the moment as the R11S seems to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Surely Oppo would work on at least one update during the phone’s lifespan so users could be assured that Oreo is on its way.
It doesn’t seem like Oppo should be delaying the announcement of the R11S much as the phone nears its release schedule. Within a few days, Oppo would confirm these rumors once its ready to make it public.
