Someone at Asus is in trouble. A few X299 boards were surfacing recently. With a leaked showcase video from Asus, we’re assured that this could be the X299 Strix motherboard that is set to cater the Intel’s Core X series of CPUs.
Being an Asus board by tradition, Asus’s implementation of Aura Sync on this X299 Strix just looks killer. Throughout the video we could see quite a number of features the board holds. From the mention of Intel’s new LGA 2066 socket to the amazing features it packs.
However, so far, we could only find a single M.2 NVMe slot. Overal, The Strix X299-E looks very attractive and should bring some competition from Intel’s side after AMD’s Ryzen struck the market.
Only time would tell if Intel’s enthusiast market would upgrade to the new platform.
