Xiaomi has been manufacturing some amazing phones lately. After releasing the Xiaomi Mi6 yesterday! It seems like Xiaomi has been at the next bezel-less successor for a while.
GearBest, a large online Chinese retailer has just listed the Xiaomi Mi MiX 2 on their website for pre-sales. If you are unaware, Xiaomi was among the first to come with with the bezel-less designs before the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 came along. The Xiaomi Mi MiX 2 could bring something new to the table this time around, but so soon? Nope, it seems too good to be true.
According the GearBest, the Mi MiX 2 is no slouch at all compared to the competition and its mainstream brother. Packing the latest SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835 along with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage, the Xiaomi MiX 2 will definitely deliver. However, this really seems too soon as the Mi MiX was just released late last year and touting the successor as early as Q2 2017, it’s hard to believe it.
Kicking it in a notch higher and the Xiaomi MiX 2 doesn’t seem to be carrying Xiaomi’s royalty with a $999 price tag depending on the model. Pictures attached by GearBest don’t seem like the real deal too. However, we couldn’t expect a reputable retailer like GearBest to tease such a phone for nothing.
On top of that, the GearBest also mentioned that the Mi MiX would be running the long anticipated MIUI 9 out of the box on the Mi MiX 2. Certainly impressive stuff.
For now, it seems like the price is inflated, although the final release of the phone should really bring in an intimidating device to the market. And whether this is the actual device or not, its going to be amazing to see how Xiaomi stacks its bezel-less design against Samsung and LG.
