Logitech Releases Their New Carbon G413 Mechanical Keyboard For US $99/ RM429

Logitech, a very reputable brand in the PC market has just announced a new keyboard to their Logitech G series of keyboards.

Logitech has been well known for manufacturing some amazing keyboards over the years with their exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches. Today, Logitech announced their G413 Mechanical keyboard. The G413 from Logitech aims to satisfy mechanical keyboard users and also provide an aesthetically minimal keyboard.

Speaking of switches, Logitech’s Romer-G switches are pretty unique. Logitech claims that their mechanical switches actuate 25% faster than normal mechanical switches. Logitech didn’t mention compared to which switches are their switches faster, that’s another mystery to be answered.

Digging deeper into what Logitech touts about the switches, these Romer-G switches have a lifespan of 70 million keystrokes compared to the 50 million on Cherry MX switches. Keystrokes are activated half-way through at 1.5mm and have a total travel distance of 3mm.

Backlighting is also present on the keyboard, however, RGB is absent on the keyboard. Since the G413 comes in two variants only, the Carbon and Silver, the Carbon lights up red and the G413 Silver keys light up white.

Lastly, the G413 comes with a USB pass-through to connect your favourite devices and have an extra USB port within easy reach.

Regarding pricing and availability, Logitech has set a price of RM429 in Malaysia, that is approximately $99 in the US. We’ve reviewed a few keyboard within this price range. It’ll be interested to see how the G413 stacks up against our favourite HERMES P1 RGB Mechanical Keyboard.
