There are a lot of data recovery softwares available in the market. But EaseUS’ data recovery solutions are one of the most common if not the most common data recovery softwares available in the market. Today, we’re reviewing the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, free version. Let’s see what they have to offer in the free version of the software.
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard FREE Version Review – 2016
EaseUS is in the PC data recovery market for a long time now. They have services in over 160 countries with support for almost all languages. According to EaseUS, they have over 100,000,000 users worldwide. EaseUS is a very well-reputed brand in this category. They have won awards from many well-reputed websites from all over the world, including CNet, Softonic, Softpedia and many more. Also, they have great customer support.
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard:
EaseUS Data Recover Wizard is one of the many data backup/recovery programs offered by EaseUS. The Data Recovery Wizard from EaseUS has a great UI which is easy-to-use for beginners.
As you can see on the screen above, you can select the file type of the files you want to recover from the selected drive on your computer. You can select graphics, audio, video, documents and almost all other files. However, in the free version, you’re limited to 500MB of data to recover. EaseUS can give you additional 1.5 Gigabytes limit for recoverable data if you share the software on social media platforms, including Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.
However, if you want to recover data that is bigger than the available size, you can buy this software for $69.95. If you purchase it, you’ll have 24/7 lifetime technical support, free upgrades for a lifetime and the size of recoverable data won’t be limited.
On the screen above, you can select the drive you want to recover files from. After you select, you will need to click on the scan button in the bottom right to start scanning the drive for recoverable files.
After the scan, you can select the files you want to recover and click on the recover button in the bottom right to start the recovery process. This is a great feature which allows you to see the recoverable files before starting the recovery process.
If the program did not identify the file you want to recover, you can do a deep scan. It will take some time, but there’s a chance that you might get your lost file back, using the deep scan.
So there you have it, guys. That’s pretty much it for this review. The EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard (free) is an excellent choice for consumers who want to occasionally recover some data. However, it does lack some advanced features. If you are a professional, we suggest buying the “professional” version of this software or going for other options, such as Data Rescue PC3 or Stellar Phoenix.
The EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard’s user-friendly and easy-to-use UI is what makes it a special data recovery program. Long story short, for normal consumers, this is a great free data recovery software. But, for professionals, this is not a very good option.
