Bethesda Responds to People Believing that Fallout 4 Mods for PS4 Were Cancelled Because They Had an Exclusive Deal with Xbox

Recently, Bethesda announced that they have cancelled mod support of Fallout 4 and Skyrim for the PlayStation 4. According to Bethesda, they cancelled the mod support for the PlayStation 4 because Sony said no.

“Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work.”

After this, hot discussions started on the internet gaming communities and many people were saying that Bethesda did this because they have an exclusive deal with Xbox. One Twitter user took this directly to Pete Hines, the Vice President of PR/Marketing at Bethesda.

As you can see above, Bethesda denied this allegation. It seems like Sony did say ‘no’ to Bethesda. The mod support of Fallout 4 and Skyrim on the PlayStation 4 was cancelled because of Sony. Bethesda did say that they’re working on some kind of mod support of Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition on the PlayStation 4.
