Star Wars VR on HTC Vive – Using a Lightsaber is Not a Dream Anymore

Thanks to the revolutionary Virtual Reality technology, the dreams of you becoming a Jedi are becoming true now. Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is an experimental game recently revealed by HTC and Lucasfilm. Star Wars VR on HTC Vive is going to give you the ability to use lightsabers.

Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is reportedly set in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi movie. The player will be an apprentice Jedi, in Luke Skywalker’s home. The droid R2-D2 will also be seen in the game. The game will bring an impressive VR experience, thanks to HTC Vive’s indoor motion tracking ability. The Jedi training in VR will be an immersive experience.

The minimum recommended GPU for good HTC Vive VR experience is an Nvidia GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 or better.

Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine will be available for free on Steam on July 18, 2016. It does require an HTC Vive though.
