The monstrosity from Nvidia is here. Yet we thought that Nvidia’s GTX 1080 is a reckless GPU and forgot about the Titan lineup. Today, Nvidia announced their GTX Titan X which features big improvements over the Maxwell-based Titan. Nvidia claims this new GPU will be 60% faster than the last generation Titan X. Nvidia isn’t taking much time for the launch and will be launching it on the 2nd of August which is just right around the corner! The GTX Titan. This card should be able to achieve 4k/60FPS.
It’s worth noting that the naming has been changed since Maxwell, so keep an eye out and make sure you’re looking for the Pascal-based Titan X.
The new Titan X based on Maxwell Features the following specifications
- 3584 CUDA Cores
- 1417MHz Base Clock
- 1531MHz Boost Clock
- 10 GB/s of Memory Speed
- 12GB of GDDR5X
- 384 Bit Memory Interface Width
- 480 GB/s Memory Bandwith
- 12 Billion Transistors
- 44 TFLOPS INT8 (deep learning)
- 11 TFLOPs FP32
The new Titan X will consume up to 250W requiring a single 8-pin and 6pin connector to be juiced up.
However, the Titan X still uses GDDR5X, however, some sources cite that there might be an upcoming one based on HBM2 next year. For now, it’s still fine and the fastest GPU.
Its also worth mentioning that the 12GB of GDDR5X that comes with the Titan X is clocked at 10GB/s has a memory bandwidth of 480GB/s. Taking a closer look at the memory bandwidth of HBM1, we notice that the 480GB/s is pretty close to the first generation of HBM. It seems like GDDR5X is taking its limits now.
msrp of $500 but will gouge you for $1500…lol
so whose dick do i have to suck , to get this card ?
